Wedding photographers can range from a few hundred, to sometimes $20,000+, it is important that you meet with a few different photographers prior to booking so you can gauge what you are looking for and if the person you are booking is the right fit for your vision! We often suggest meeting a photographer under your expected budgets, somebody at your budge, and somebody above your budget. Sometimes you mesh well with the lower priced photog, and this will help you save. However, sometimes you might absolutely fall in love with higher priced photographer and decide to invest a little more into wedding photographer. Most often times, the higher priced photographer is priced at this level for a reason, they have the training and schooling to capture the best photos, as well as they know what it takes to make the entire process easy and personal. This is not always the case though, so make sure you meet with a few photogs prior to booking!
As the digital age booms, is has become much easier to take pictures. Even our cell phones are capable of taking amazing photos! What sets us apart and the reason we charge more than other photographers is our ability to not only take amazing photos (which should be a given), but to read you as a couple, and your family to get the most personal photos we can. It is our job to intertwine ourselves with you and your guests as to make it feel like we have known each other for years! We often remain close friends with many of our couples because we get along so well through the entire wedding process. We take the time to learn about you, your interestes, what you want from us, and how we can all make magic behind the shutter!
Most of the time people only see us for the 8 to 10 hours we are at your wedding, however, the planning starts well before that, when we talk to you about you mood board, and start planning your photos you want to have taken. After the weddings we often spend upwards of 100+ hours editing your photos so they are exactly the way we vision you would want them to look.
We also spend countless hours perfecting our skills and educating ourselves through both online and in person schooling. We pride ourselves on never falling behind the trends when it comes to lighting, posing, and getting the best shot we can for your wedding!
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. We might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With our expertise of processing millions of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.
With that being said, we do try to send as many pictures as possible so you get as many memories as you can of your wedding day!
