What can I say about this early morning sunrise engagement session in Door County other than it was nothing short of epic! Zandalee and Josh are an amazing young couple who are clearly in love with each others goofy ways. We meet just before sunrise in the parking lot of Cave Point county park in Door County Wisconsin. Although it was very early and I was a little groggy from the stiff hotel bed, they were already wide awake, chipper, and full of excitement. Their happiness and willingness to have some fun on a photoshoot quickly woke me up and got me ready to shoot some epic sunrise photos.
The sun was just starting to peek over Lake Michigan and the clouds were just speratic enough to create a very dramatic backdrop for this engagement session. Zandalee and Josh had already told me they did not want the "typical, stand here and post" type photos, one of the reasons they decided to go with me as their wedding photographer.
As the sun rose, and the photos the waves crashed against the cliffs we made our way down the shoreline stopping and taking in the views. Not only was this a great photo shoot, but it was also an amazing way to start a beautiful spring morning in Wisconsin!
